We own this Holmes quartz heater and love the thing to death. In fact I was sitting in front of it as I wrote this review. I never read a single customer review at the time we purchased it but knew I wanted to try a quartz heater because I read about them one time at Amazon. At that time some of the customer reviews were negative on these indoor warmers because they were to noisy. A lot of those people compared the Holmes to a heater by optimus.

I believe the most comperable model was the optimus h-5210 infrared heater. The reason we purchased this one is because it was sitting in front of me at Target so I got it. Had it been the radiant heater by optimus (h-5210 infrared quart radiant or any model number for that fact) we would have purchased it.

Many of the newer heaters are really built with safety in mind. They offer tip over protection, over heat protection and some come with a GFI or ALCI plug. These plugs act like a those GFI plugs in your kitchen and bathroom. It is now required in new home construction and it's a built in safety feature because so many different appliances are plugged in there. If the electrical current is broken or interrupted that switch will kick in and turn the power off. Having those switches on your heater adds another layer of protection. Make sure and look for that when you are shopping or reading some customer reviews.

Like the other infrared quartz heaters, it has a auto safety shut off, it has a LED electronic thermostat, 2 quartz tubes, max flow heating, cool touch housing, 2 heat settings and a carry handle.

Holmes HCH6150 Triple Ceramic Heater this ceramic heater has 3 heating elements that can quickly pump out heat and warm a bedroom fast.
