Honeywell
Oil Heater

A
lot of people choose the Honeywell
Oil Heater for one reason: It's quiet.
I am not exactly sure why people are
so bent out of shape when it comes to heaters
and noise but they are. Personally
I'd take the direct heat from a Honeywell ceramic heater or
radiant heater any day even with the noise
output. But that's me and that is why people
can choose to purchase a Honeywell oil-filled radiator
instead. We do have freedom of choice
when it comes to picking heaters.

Just
to be honest I can tell you that my in-laws own a honeywell
oil filled heater and we use it each time we visit them
in the colder months. It does a great job of warming
the bedroom downstairs and the temperature controls
are very easy to operate. The drawback to all
oil-filled heaters is that it does take some time to
warm the room but once it is warm it will stay warm
thanks to these units.
If
you are in a hurry we have our Honeywell Oil Heater
Reviews Below.
As
you are aware that are many different space heater brands
on the market. The Delonghi
portable heaters that are oil filled have received
positive consumer reviews and might be a tad cheaper
than Honeywell depending upon where you purchase each
model. However, when you do read reviews you will
see negative reviews for all radiator heaters including
Holmes
Electric heaters with oil, Lakewood,
Optimus and the others. Take them with a grain of salt
unless you see over 30% complaints, then you better
take heed.
Now
back to the Honeywell home comfort products. What
you will find on most Honeywell oil heaters and the
reasons why Honeywell draws so many people to their
home heaters are:
- back-lit
control panel which is great in the dark
- adjustable
thermostat to help you keep a comfortable level
at all times
- 3
heats setting that will help keep the room temperature
consistent
- external
storage for the cords when not in use
- multiple
safety features like tipover, auto shut off and
some have GFI/ALCI plugs
- after
initial burn they are odorless
- Honeywell energy smart heater
helps you save money over oil prices
- they
are very quiet to operate--you have no idea they
are on unless you touch it
These
heaters come in several different models and they range
from $45 up to over $100 depending on which model you
choose. Each model will add more bells and whistles
like thermostat controls, control panel use, etc. Below
you will find our Honeywell Oil-Filled Radiator reviews.

Model Reviews of the Honeywell Oil Heater
Honeywell AZDH-HZ 709 Oil Filled Radiator Heater. Frist off,
you will never need to replace the oil in the hz709
because they are fully enclosed with special welding.
It is a digital unit and you have three watt settings.
1500 watts, 900 watts and 500 watts. It comes
with a three pronged plug-in that is an added safety
feature. It has a back light which makes it easy
to read the digital display in the dark. It comes with
caster wheels that are easy to put on and you have a
5 yr. warranty with the HZ 709.
I
know people who owned several quartz heaters who have
now replaced them with the HZ-709. One guy has
3 of these things and as you can imagine he is very
happy with his units ability to heat as well as cost
savings.
Honeywell
HZ 609 Oil Filled Radiator Heater one of the
first things you'll notice with all these oil heaters
are: odorless and quiet. Much like it's
brother the 709, it has three settings, three pronged
plug and back light. The big difference is the
color and no digital displays. Also keep in mind
with all oil filled radiator heaters, it takes time
for them to warm a room, but once it's warm, you can
lower the settings and keep it toasty.
The
Honeywell
Oil-Filled Radiator
has no model number but it's gonna be the medium priced
unit. It has the features of the HZ 709 but not
as many fins. One feature this unit has, is a
timer which you can set and it will turn itselfs off.
Some people claim this unit costs more money to
use, but I do believe it is dependant on the area you
live in and the price of electricity versus gas.
The
Top of the line model is the Honeywell Digital Oil Heater
and you can expect to pay at least $149 and it will
have all the key features we've listed above. Obviously
that added caveat would be the digital display, it will
have tip over protection, auto shut off and overheating
shutoff.
Here
are three Honeywell Oil Heater models.
Additional
information about oil-filled radiator units. Once
you turn on your heater the element inside will heat
the oil. The warm oil will rise and give off heat
typically through the fins found on the unit. As
that oil cools it will settle back down to the bottom
and be replaced with the new hot oil and it will rise
to the top and give off heat. As the heat from
the heater rises it will fill the room with it's own
convection heat and it will circulate in the room exactly
like it does inside the heater. The beauty of
this type of convection heat is no breeze from something
like a fan driven heater. Think Honeywell Tower heater
with it's oscillating motion and air being blown into
the room or the Holmes
HFH105 1500 Watt Portable Electric Space Heater.
Oil
filled heaters work best when you plan on using them
over the long haul. That means heating the bedroom
overnight or filling the basement playroom with warmth
for the day. If you have a really cool area that
would be impossible to heat then we do recommend the
radiant heat style warmers. They will warm the objects
directly in front of it and keep you warm until it is
turned off.
Another
option is the fan forced ceramic style that would be
good for small areas like the bathroom.
